We will pick you up directly from your hotel or villa, and our driver will accompany you to Bologna helipad. Before leaving, the captain will welcome you on board of the helicopter and he will explain all the necessary procedures for the tour.

Capital of the Emilia-Romagna region, Bologna is located between the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and the heart of the Po Valley. Due to its position between North and South, East and West, the Adriatic coast as well as cities such as Venice, Florence, Milan and Rome can easily be reached from Bologna.

City of art, culture and commerce, with a streamlined trade-fair organization and a well-known manufacturing and motor tradition, Bologna is famous for its almost 40 km of arcades, the longest in the world.

Seat of the most ancient university in the western world, Bologna is a city with an intense cultural life and intriguing historical legacy and it is also called “The Learned” for its old University, and “The Fat” for its food tradition, the city is also a “UNESCO creative City of Music” and has one of the largest and most well-preserved medieval historical centers, full of restaurants, taverns, theatres and shops.
Bologna’s most important symbols are its famous porticoes, those covered sidewalks lined by colonnades that unite street, tower and palaces. Also characteristic of the city are its towers, offering the opportunity to admire a marvelous panorama from the high, the most important being the Towers of Garisenda and Asinelli. The towers belonged to a complex of over 100 Medieval towers, of which only about 20 remain today, including Torre Accursi or dell’Orologio, dominating over Piazza Maggiore, and the Torre Azzoguidi that is part of Bologna’s “Triad of Medieval Skyscrapers,” along with Torre Prendiparte and Torre Galluzzi.

Home of many famous artists such as Giorgio Morandi, Guido Reni, the Carraccis, Guercino, Aspertini, its charm has also charmed notable people like Mozart, Carducci, Dante, Rossini and Guglielmo Marconi, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics.

Bologna is synonym for food & wine tradition. Mortadella, “ragù alla Bolognese”, handmade pastas such as tortellini, lasagne and tagliatelle, boiled meat, certosino cake: these are only some of the foods that have made Bologna’s gastronomy famous throughout the world, together with the fabulous “sfogline” (women making handmade pastas) whose lessons are attended by visitors from every country in the world. Colli Bolognesi DOC wines are famous too, like the typical Pignoletto.

LUNCH AT ANTICA CORTE PALLAVICINA

We will stop at Relais Antica Corte Pallavicina to have a gastronomic journey at the chef Spigaroli’s Restaurant.
An exclusive setting, a stained-glass window with the Po river a few meters away, the warmth of the fireplaces and the locals: this is the atmosphere that is breathed in the restaurant that has received the Michelin Guide Star since 2011 and represents the best of the refined Bassa Parmense and sought as one would expect from an elite restaurant. A surprising and colorful “gastrofluvial“ kitchen, where the raw materials produced directly in the ancient court of Pallavicina dominate and where the ancient and precious traditions of the lands bathed by the great river are exalted. In this way Massimo and Luciano Spigaroli built the success of their restaurant.

At the end of the tour, we will fly back to Bologna helipad and from there a private driver will accompany you to your accommodation
